Entering into the Season of Lent

At St. Regis Parish we are inviting everyone to focus on the Fridays of Lent and to choose some type of prayer or penance on that day offered for the spiritual renewal of St. Regis Parish (see below).  In addition, here are three websites which can help you keep the Lenten season in focus for all six weeks.

Re-Claiming Fridays of Lent

Join us each Friday in solidarity with the whole parish and praying for its continued renewal by:

  • Abstinence from meat
  • Adding an extra prayer /penance for the day
  • stopping sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. to say a prayer for the renewal of St. Regis Parish
  • Join us for an Evening Prayer experience from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Church.
    • February 16: Stations of the Cross
    • February 23: Gospel Live (gospel scenes of encounters with Jesus acted out life)
    • March 2: Symphony of Lent (ensemble of instruments playing classical Lenten pieces)
    • March 9: Seven Last Words of Jesus (through music, pictures, prayer and meditation)
    • March 16: Blessed Solanus Casey (what we can learn from our newest saint)
    • March 23: Adoration–Come, Encounter Christ! (dynamic evening of adoration)
